This Year is All About Sustainability in Style
With thrifting on the rise, the new sustainable bohemian aesthetic taking flight on TikTok, and reoccurring trends, we're heading full force into 2025 with a eco-friendly mindset. For the first time, it felt that there wasn't a lot of new 'trends' happening and instead, the fashion industry focused on building upon and evolving on the micro trends from the past few years. Realizing that we're not turning our clothes out as much and taking our buying consciously, companies are either going full on tun or timeless.
UPDATED STYLE ALERT - NEW PREPPY CLASSIC
We updated our Classic style to a new prep look that encompasses both athleisure as well as a slight academia vibe. A more fresh, crisp approach without being too dressed up. The new prep includes brighter colors and more playful silhouettes. A more 80's and 90's approach to the prep vibe if you will.
NEW STYLE - ELEVATED INDIE SLEAZE
We also brought back a previous style, but made it new for 2025. The Indie style made it's debut on the festival and music circuit in the mid 2000's and we've been loving it ever since. The Indie Sleaze aesthetic made it's way back around in 2021 but this time we're elevating it to bring it into the workplace. Picture a slinky 90's dress over tights and a pleather blazer and a studded belt to bring the entire look together. It may be a smart button down shirt with exaggerated cuffs, a retro tie and liquid leggings with a belt. Of course for festival season we can always go more casual because who doesn't like a great Kate Moss inspired look?!
NEW STYLE - Y3K / CYBERPUNK
We enjoyed the Y2K look over the past few years when it took center stage in 2020. But now we're looking to the future, and when we say 'future', we mean year 3000. Y3K has emerged in the past couple years with a new vested interest in everything space with cyberpunk elements. Yes, it's similar to Y2K but more metallics, more oversized layers and more tech. Brands like Comme Des Garcons encompass the vibe and Vintage tech as accessories are so hot right now! Get updated into the future with this fun style!
